Advocate - ZIM Integrated Shipping Services

We are looking for an Advocate that will handle the following:

Main Purpose of the Role - Legal review of the company’s maritime contractual engagements’ documentation, including improving and drafting of same, mainly on responsibility, liability and indemnification aspects.

Main tasks:

• Legal Review of Company’s Contracts- Identify and provide analysis of legal risks in contracts, insurance policies/certificates and LOI that expose the company to greater liability and responsibility, as well as indemnification and insurance obligations and provide legal solutions.
• Negotiate contract terms and insurance cover terms with vendors and suggest legal solutions.
• Monitor the implementation of the suggested solutions towards signing the contract.
• Legal Support to Company’s Units in Liability and Insurance Related Issues.
• Advising the relevant company units in regard of liability and insurance related issues (DG, claims, procurement, Key accounts, Administration, HR, etc.).
• Assisting in improvement of the company’s procedures.
• Improving Company’s Standard Wordings - Striving to improve the company’s standard contract wording in accordance with the developments in the industry and to implement the standard wording in contracts.

• Certified lawyer in Israel, admitted to the Israeli Bar Association - A must.
• 2 years’ experience working on commercial contracts including client-facing work and negotiations. - A must.
• Experience in a global company – an advantage
• Knowledge of insurance - an advantage
• Strong negotiating skills
• Excellent English level written and spoken, including high ability to negotiate and present in English and knowledge of legal terms in English
