Content Strategist - Shortical

We are seeking an analytical storyteller to join our Content Strategy team. This role is the bridge between creative intuition and empirical evidence. Your primary mission is to leverage audience data, market trends, and performance analytics to lead critical decision making with our production team, as to which stories to tell, which genres to invest in, and how to reach the right global audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creative Alignment: Collaborate closely with screenwriters, directors, producers, and creative teams to develop high-impact concepts tailored to specific target audiences.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor the global micro-drama landscape to identify trends, emerging sub-genres, and shifts in viewer behavior.
• Performance Analytics: Analyze the performance of our released productions, identifying what worked, what didn't, and how those lessons apply to future production planning.
• Data Visualization: Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that translate complex metrics into clear visuals for creative partners.
• Industry Forecasting: Stay ahead of the curve on industry shifts, such as the rise of international co-productions, short-form scripted content, or evolving windowing strategies.
• Audience Profiling: Utilize internal and third-party data to build detailed personas for our scripted projects.

• Experience: Background in content strategy, media research, agency planning, or a data-focused role within the entertainment industry.
• Domain Knowledge: A deep passion for scripted film and television, with the ability to articulate why specific content succeeds creatively and commercially.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present data-heavy findings to "creative" types (producers, writers, directors) without losing them in jargon.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data Visualization: Experience with platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cinema/Media Studies, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
