Work on data-driven initiatives that improve system performance, efficiency, and billing accuracy Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to navigate technical trade-offs that directly affect Forter's bottom line. Use AI coding tools as a natural part of how you work, reviewing, guiding, and improving AI-generated code is part of the day-to-day here Help foster best practices and maintain a high standard of engineering excellence 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining production systems Strong backend fundamentals; Python is our primary language, but we value engineering fundamentals over specific syntax Proven experience owning systems in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance and reliability improvements Familiar with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, deployment pipelines, observability, and quality assurance (unit, integration testing) Experience with AWS and storage at scale (MySQL, Snowflake, Redis) A proactive attitude and a passion for providing technical solutions that bring an immediate business impact and ensure engineering excellence Familiarity with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using industry-standard frameworks like Airflow, Kafka, Delta Lake, etc Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms Background in billing / ERP systems Great Place to Work Certification (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 ) Fortune’s Best Workplaces in NYC (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 ) Forbes Cloud 100 (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 ) Anti-Fraud Solution of the Year at the Payments Awards ( 2024 )
