Attorney – Regulatory & Compliance - Btbisrael

A leading financial company is seeking a Attorney to join its Legal Department in a key role involving responsibility for legal, regulatory, and compliance matters within a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing legal and regulatory support on a broad range of matters relating to the company’s activities.
• Advise the company on regulatory matters, including reviewing laws, regulatory circulars, guidelines, and regulatory positions, and supporting their implementation across the business.
• Work closely with regulators and competent authorities, including preparing applications, reports, documents, and regulatory submissions.
• Support processes involving relevant authorities and respond to regulatory inquiries and requests.
• Take responsibility for and provide ongoing support on compliance matters, including anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and other applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing legal advice to management and business functions on regulatory and legal matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties, including consultants, authorities, and professional advisors.
• Handle and support government relations matters and interactions with regulatory and governmental authorities.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, identify their potential impact on the company’s activities, and support their implementation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and workflows relating to regulatory and compliance matters.

• Valid Israeli law license.
• At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in regulation, anti-money laundering, and compliance – required.
• Experience at a leading law firm specializing in regulatory matters and/or at a financial institution – required.
• Previous experience working with regulators and government authorities – a significant advantage.
• Previous experience working at the Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Authority – an advantage.
• Familiarity with the activities of financial institutions and the regulatory environment in which they operate – an advantage.
• Excellent legal drafting skills in Hebrew (required) and English (an advantage).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong legal and regulatory analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidelines and operational processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and matters simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
