General Manager – Business Unit - VPG Sensors

Role Overview

We are seeking a General Manager to lead and grow a business unit. This role will drive the evolution from a product-focused portfolio to differentiated, high-value solutions with strong OEM integration.

The GM will act as the business owner, with full responsibility for P&L, growth strategy, and cross-functional execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive full BU P&L performance (revenue, margins, pricing, investments)
• Lead global commercial strategy, including Sales and Business Development
• Define and execute market growth strategy, focusing on high-value applications
• Drive OEM partnerships and application-based growth
• Lead portfolio evolution toward differentiated, high-value solutions
• Align and lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations)

• Senior B2B leader with proven ownership of a business unit / P&L
• Strong background in multidisciplinary industrial environments (e.g., automation, manufacturing, instrumentation, or similar)
• Track record of driving growth, profitability, and market expansion
• Experience leading global Sales, Business Development, and go-to-market strategies
• Proven success building OEM partnerships and solution-driven growth
• Strong financial and commercial acumen (pricing, margins, forecasting)
• Experience leading cross-functional global teams (Sales, R&D, Operations, Marketing)
• Hands-on leader with a strategic mindset and execution focus
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
