Elsight is looking for a Senior BSP Engineer to own the OS and low-level software that brings our hardware platforms to life. In this role, you will lead Embedded Linux BSP work across Yocto, Linux kernel, U-Boot, flashing, upgrades, bring-up, and more, enabling Elsight software to run reliably across current and future hardware platforms.

You will…

• Own Elsight’s BSP across all hardware platforms: Yocto layer, Linux kernel, U-Boot, base OS image, and hardware-specific enablement.
• Build and maintain Yocto machine/distro configuration, recipes, images, and release upgrades.
• Scope, review, and integrate work from BSP contractors, SoM vendors, and subcontractors.
• Lead new board bring-up from first boot to stable Linux, including SoM/SoC enablement, Uboot, device trees, storage, peripherals, and boot flow.
• Maintain Optimize and debug kernel, drivers, bootloader, and hardware/software integration issues.
• Validate hardware interfaces, boot stability, power behavior, and production readiness with HW/NPI.
• Partner with R&D, HW, application/build teams, and manufacturing to support platform delivery.
• Own secure boot, signed images, factory provisioning, flashing, and upgrade mechanisms.

Apply if you have…

• 5 years of strong hands-on Embedded Linux BSP or Embedded BSP experience on ARM platforms.
• Deep Yocto / OpenEmbedded knowledge: layers, recipes, machine/distro configs, images, and upgrades.
• Python/Bash scripting, Git, and strong ownership of build/test automation.
• Ability to scope, direct, and review external contractor/vendor BSP work.
• Experience with U-Boot, SPL, device trees, boot flow, board configuration, and bootloader debugging.
• Board bring-up experience. clocks, pinmux, storage/eMMC, peripherals, and first-boot debugging.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets and debug with serial, JTAG, logic/bus tools.
• Secure boot and image authentication experience, preferably NXP HAB / verified boot.
• Bonus: Kernel and driver development in C/C++, including out-of-tree modules and low-level HW/SW debugging.
• Bonus: wireless/cellular module integration, real-time or safety-critical systems.
