Team8 Stealth Cyber Startup – Director of Marketing - Team8

We are a fast-growing stealth cyber startup, backed by Team8, on a mission to solve one of the most critical challenges in the modern cyber landscape. We are looking for a brilliant Director of Marketing to join our core team as our first marketing hire, and build our brand, message, and go-to-market from the ground up.

Role description

We are looking for a strong, technical, and highly versatile marketer to join our core team, become a true partner in building the company, and take full ownership of marketing - from positioning and messaging, through Product Marketing and early-stage Demand Generation, to events, conferences, industry presence, and field marketing.

This is a hands-on role in a small team, with a lot of responsibility, autonomy, and influence over the technical and business direction. You'll need to speak the language of security researchers, CISOs, and product people alike - and translate complex technology into sharp, clear messaging.

What you will do

• Help build the company's positioning, messaging, and brand story from scratch.
• Lead Product Marketing – translate complex product capabilities and technology into clear, compelling content for the target market.
• Build and operate early-stage Demand Generation channels - campaigns, content, and targeted growth initiatives.
• Own the company’s events and conference strategy end-to-end - identify the right industry events, manage sponsorships and speaking opportunities, shape the company’s on-site presence, and drive pre- and post-event engagement.
• Work closely with Product, Research, and leadership to translate technical capabilities into market-facing messaging.
• Build the company's presence in the cybersecurity community - through content, social channels, industry events, partnerships, and thought leadership.
• Stand up the marketing infrastructure (branding, website, tooling) and lead key decisions on tools and processes.

• Proven experience in marketing roles at B2B cybersecurity companies.
• Background in Product Marketing - ability to translate complex technical products into sharp, clear market messaging.
• Hands-on experience with Demand Generation - campaigns, digital channels, and performance measurement.
• Strong technical fluency – comfortable engaging with the language of cybersecurity and security products.
• True generalist – willing and able to do it all, from zero, as the company's first marketing function.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and zero-to-one building; founding DNA.
• High proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Location: Tel Aviv, in-person - this is a founding team role.
